I completed Grounding! One of my favorite things to do and very relaxing. It helps me reset, too.

@Mike Ballester, M.Arch. Thank you for the reminder. I'm going to take my shoes off and put my feet on the Earth immediately!

I completed Take a Breath!

Learning to breathe sounds funny at my age, but I enjoy a good lesson in technique and I can always use better breathing on a daily basis. Good read. Good info.

I completed The Scale!

The scale has not really ever been my friend. I use it more as a tool or as a means to an end. It rarely ever shows what I'd like to see, but I appreciate its benefits.

AI Can Be A Great Tool

Thinking About Using AI to Track Macros?

AI tools like ChatGPT can be super helpful, but only if you know what numbers you're aiming for!

Don’t just guess. Ask your coach.

Set up a 1:1 session to dial in your individual goals, calorie range, macro breakdown, and tracking strategy so AI becomes a support tool, not a source of confusion.

HYPERHYDRATION: When More Isn’t Better

Did you know your cells can retain up to four times their normal volume in water during hyperhydration?

While hydration is critical for energy, metabolism, and recovery, too much water can actually backfire.

Overhydrating can dilute essential electrolytes like sodium, which throws off your body’s balance and can lead to symptoms like nausea, confusion, or even muscle cramps.

💧The sweet spot? Aim for about half your body weight in ounces per day and increase slowly around workouts or hot weather.

Your body needs hydration, not flooding.

Drink smart. Stay balanced. Be well.

90 ounces. Yikes. That will take discipline.

One Trip, One Plan

Most people shop whenever they run out of food. The problem? That leads to impulse buys, extra trips, and no real plan.

🌀Try this instead: shop once a week with a list. 🌀

Save time, save money, and stick to your goals.

While this is a great plan and does help with impulse buys, we are a family of 5 with extra people in and out all week. Ultimately, one trip to the store with a plan would be fabulous. Maybe in a perfect world or when I am an empty nester. 🤷🏼‍♀️😔

HRT Resource, meet Chris Logan

Hey guys, Just learning how to navigate the site. I have been really excited to be part of Fitness Realist's expanded resource network and I would love it if you all consider me as such for yourselves.

I'm personally a fitness enthusiast, a multidisciplinary athlete, martial artist, and a NASM PT/CES+ISSA Strength and Conditioning coach. After decades of observing friends, competitors, and clients I realized that you can control Diet and Exercise, but you cannot control your chemistry, which is an equal part of the equation.

That's why I partnered with doctors who handle that chemistry and bridge the gap to people at all levels to reach that optimized chemistry that we all experienced when we were 18-24ish. Our company started in Castle Rock, CO and we now operate about 10 brick and mortar clinics across the country. We've handled (10?)thousands of clients and collected data on all of them:…

HSA

Personal training, gym memberships and wellness programs can be reimbursable. You will need a medical letter of necessity (MLN) from one of your medical care providers and an invoice.

Most providers have a form letter already drafted. You just have to ask! Unfortunately, you cannot use your HSA debit card. You will have to submit for reimbursement with your HSA.

A Health Savings Account (HSA) is an account you contribute to tax free and can use for heath needs. Insurance will not pay for wellness... yet! There is talk of wellness and fitness as preventative care, so perhaps in the future.

WBC 1.1

The focus today is foundation. Core, balance and plyometric movements can be done 5 days a week and should be incorporated into regular training. These movements build a strong foundation to prevent injury and allow you to progress safely.

You'll also learn about the foundation of nutrition with reading on macros and micros.

Make sure you post in the group for support and encouragement and to share your successes and struggles.

We are all in this together!

Attack of the Resolutionists

Alright, here we go. January 1st. That magical time of year when the calendar flips over, the hangover is just starting to lift, and the world collectively decides, “You know what? This is my year.” This is the time when gym parking lots look like Walmart on Black Friday. When every treadmill, squat rack, and yoga mat becomes sacred ground, not for the dedicated, but for The Resolutionists.

Ah, the Resolutionists. They come in droves. Like a swarm of overly optimistic locusts clad in brand-new Lululemon, wielding their shiny water bottles and Fitbits, ready to conquer the world—or at least burn off those holiday cookies. And let’s be honest, most of them don’t make it past February. But for that one glorious month, they’re unstoppable. A force of nature. A cultural phenomenon.

The Resolutionist Starter Pack

You know them when you see them. They walk into the gym with a confidence…
